Home Care (Domiciliary)

Gracious Health Solutions also provide carers for private homes. Many individuals we care for prefer to be in familiar surroundings in their own home. Home care (sometimes referred to as domiciliary care) is care and support in the comfort of your own home. The aim being to allow you or a loved one to get on with daily life in familiar surroundings. Home care can be considered an alternative for those that prefer to remain in their own homes rather than moving into care.

Homecare provides help for:

  • Getting dressed
  • Eating and drinking
  • Housework
  • Preparing meals
  • Help Getting up and down stairs
  • Help Getting in and out of the bath
  • Help Washing
  • Supervision for safety
  • Shopping
  • Collecting and managing medication
  • Plus Any other practical task that needs to be completed.

We don’t just let anyone into your home. All of our carers are fully trained, fully vetted with all necessary background checks completed. Above all we also ensure our staff are ready to provide the caree you need. We also cater for clients who do not regard English as their first language. Our carers come from a broad background and we ensure we match carers who can speak the language of your choice.

Short-term & Long-term Care

Dependent on your situation, you or a loved one may need short-term care (for example recovering from a surgical procedure). Alternatively, you may need longer term care. The amount and type of care you receive will be dependent on your Care Assessment.

Carers can spend as little as an hour a week with you, all the way up to several hours a day. The aim of the Care Assessment is to provide you or a loved one with the right amount care.

We provide staffing for residential homes. We believe every one of the individuals we support deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to be accorded choice and independence. We value individuality and this means listening to what our clients and other carers tell us and ensuring every day is thoroughly enjoyable to our clients. Our approach includes working with permanent staff to write care plans designed to help us learn about personal likes and dislikes as well as helping to set care and rehabilitative goals encouraging independence. We help the people we support keep up community links and welcome those visits from family and friends that can be so important.

In addition to supply of staff, we also provide specialized post hospital care and palliative care. We provide a home management service to enable our clients to cope with day to day activities. Our services  include supporting the client with laundry duties, cleaning, food preparation, errands, shopping and looking after pets including dog walking.
